Versioning and changelog

The API version is in the path. Changes that keep your code working ship within v1. Changes that could break it get a new version.

Versioning

All requests go to https://api.liveleg.dev/v1. Within v1 we make these changes at any time:

  • New endpoints and resources
  • New optional parameters
  • New fields in responses and event data
  • New event types
  • New values in fields that list options, such as a new amd result or a new blocked rule
  • New error codes

Your code should ignore fields and event types it does not know, and handle a value it has not seen before.

These changes need a new version:

  • Removing or renaming an endpoint, a parameter or a field
  • Changing the type or format of a field
  • Making an optional parameter required
  • Changing what an existing request does by default

When a new version ships, the old one keeps working for at least 12 months. We email every account before the old version is turned off. You move to the new version one request at a time by changing the path.

Changelog

New endpoints, fields and events in v1, newest first.

Consent and do-not-call

November 2, 2026

  • Consent records take recorded_voice. The call screener line and the recorded consent announcement play only for leads whose consent record has it.
  • The default consent_method for Smart Recording is agent_ask. A recorded announcement is an option for leads with recorded_voice true.
  • POST /v1/dnc_lists uploads a state do-not-call list you hold. GET /v1/dnc_lists lists them.
  • Leads take registry_exception for a written agreement or an established business relationship. The exception used is saved on the call record.

Invoices and call record costs

October 30, 2026

  • GET /v1/invoices and GET /v1/invoices/{id}. Each invoice has a pdf_url link.
  • Call records have charges, surcharges and total next to amount.
  • GET /v1/usage takes group_by=account.

Subaccount requirements

October 27, 2026

  • GET /v1/accounts/{id}/requirements lists what is due for each feature.
  • New events: account.requirements_updated, account.capability_updated, account.document_verified, account.document_rejected and account.reverification_due.
  • Requests that need a feature that is not active return 403 with requirement_missing.

Compliance notices

October 20, 2026

  • We email a notice before any action on an account. We act first only for a law, a government or court order, a law enforcement request, a carrier block, a traceback obligation or a security incident.
  • New event account.notice_sent with notice_id, subject and reply_by.

Call screener option

October 13, 2026

  • Phone tree navigation can play the agent's own recorded line to a call screener.
  • The line plays only when the lead's consent record has recorded_voice true, and never on calls to Washington numbers.
  • New events ivr.screener_detected and ivr.screener_answered. ivr.failed has the reason screened_to_voicemail.

Smart Recording consent by state

October 6, 2026

  • The lead's state sets the recording rule. In all-party states only the agent's side is recorded until the lead gives consent.
  • POST /v1/calls/{id}/recording/consent marks consent during a call.
  • New events recording.consent_given and recording.sides_changed. recording.ready has sides_timeline and consent.
  • New settings consent_method and before_consent.

Phone tree navigation

  • Set ivr on a dial session or a lead to work through phone trees toward a named person or extension.
  • New events ivr.detected, ivr.step, ivr.hold_started, ivr.hold_ended, ivr.human_detected and ivr.failed.
  • call.bridged has ivr_path and hold_seconds.

Webhook delivery log and secret rotation

September 22, 2026
